The management of NYSC have updated Corp Members(CM) and Prospective Corp Members (PCM) regarding NYSC activities and opening of Camp for PCMs.

[b]The Federal Government, through the Presidential Task Force on COVID - 19 ( PTF ) and National Centre for Disease Control ( NCDC ) deeply appreciates the efforts of Corps Members towards combating the spread of COVID - 19 in the country, through various interventions, such as production of face masks, hand sanitisers, liquid soaps, soap - water - and - hand sanitiser - dispensers, donated to government institutions as well as communities in the country.

The disposition of Corps Members is an eloquent demonstration of commitment to selfless service to the fatherland. The Scheme notes and commends the spirit of patriotism as shown by Corps Members and Prospective Corps Members in their burning quest to contribute meaningfully in building a united, virile and prosperous Nation, but restrained by the lockdown occasioned by Coronavirus.

Management wishes to assure CMs and PCMs that the Corps has been interfacing with the relevant agencies of Government such as PTF and NCDC, with a view to restoring normalcy in the operations of the Scheme.

In this connection therefore, as soon as greenlight is given by Federal Government, full operations will resume.

Meanwhile, CMs and PCMs are advised to exercise patience and restraint as they observe COVID - 19 protocols of social/physical distancing, proper washing of hands with soap for at least twenty seconds, use of alcohol - based hand sanitiser and wearing of face mask.
