As the cases of the rape and murder of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa and Others who were victims of such incident this year continues to go under investigation, celebrities like Tiwa Savage, Tonto Dikeh and many others continue to show their support and fight against it and pushing for the government to help put an end to it.
BBNaija former contestant, Khafi Kareem who is a full-time police officer with the Metropolitan Police, UK. According to Khafi, she will not only like to be the first female to win the money but also want to get the exposure and do the societal good by establishing a charity organization, well it didn't turn out the way she wanted. Khafi of big brother naija show has also been a victim of rape some years ago. She took to her twitter page to air out her reason why she didn't report the man who raped her and forgave him instead. She tweeted "#WhylDidntReport- because he apologised right after. Because l made myself believe him being drunk was an excuse. Because the one person I did tell said caused it. Because I felt dirty and ashamed. #WeAreTired Yes this did happen to me. I'm sharing in the hope that others will feel no shame in sharing what happened to them. Please don't deflect or say it is not my story when it was already hard enough sharing it". She also advised victims to start speaking up and share what happened to them.
