The President of Botswana, Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi, has called on all nationals to pray that the country overcomes all the negative impact associated with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The president added that worship centres should intercede for the nation før three days ( Friday to Sunday).



This was disclosed on Wednesday, at Botswana Presidency Facebook page.

“I request and urge all worshippers in this country to continue praying for the survival of the nation during these challenging times, as you go to places of worship on Friday 5th June, Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June 2020,” the President stated.

He also added that all worship centres should comply with public health advisory on covid-19.



He urged citizens to keep praying for the nation, even after the three days national prayer.

The country has so far recorded 40 covid-19 infections and 1 death, according to Worldometer figures.
