On Saturday May 30, Nigeria recorded its highest COVID-19 positive cases yet as 553 new cases were recorded in 15 states according to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC.
 
Of the 553 new cases, 378 of them were recorded in Lagos alone, the highest so far in a single day since the pandemic started in February this year.

Nigerians are expressing shock at the increasing number of cases of the viral disease in Lagos which has remained the epicenter of the pandemic in Nigeria.
