The kidney being one of the most important organs in the body is saddled with the sole function of filtering the harmful toxins and filters excess of water from our body naturally. The bean shaped kidney is located just against the back muscle in the upper abdominal cavity of the human body.

Some people engage in some bad and careless habits without knowing it affects their health and the kidney specifically.

Below are some of those careless habits that might affect the kidney

1. Holding urine

Passing out urine is one the things we do in our daily lives. Urine is a waste product of the body and when produced, it is stored in the bladder. When you hold your urine in the bladder for long, bacteria presents in it begins to multiply thus resulting in harming your kidney. This is something most people do but don’t know the side effects of it. When you do this, you increase the pressure in the kidneys which will lead to serious issues.

2. Excessive consumption of saltSalt is a hypertonic solute in when consumed in large quantity forms a hypertonic solution around the kidney thus dehydrating the kidney. People should always learn to consume salt and also sugar in low amount as these both are strong solution.

3. Low intake of water

Water is the best diet you can give to your body. Water is life and should be taken in large quantity. When water content of your body is low, it first reports in the brain then it starts affecting your kidney. When you are not taking large quantity of water, kidney stones begin to form and this blocks the tubules.

4. Excessive drinking of alcohol

Alcohol in moderate amount performs some major functions in the body but when taking In large amount harms the body system especially the kidney. When you take alcohol more that the required amount, then it directly affects your liver and kidney.
5. Pain killers

Research has proven that consuming excess of pain killers causes serious damages to your kidneys. Taking this in excess has a very serious health implications
