HOW to live longer: Avoid an early death by eating a healthy, balanced diet, and by doing regular exercise. You could lower your risk of an early death, and even boost your weight loss diet plans, by adding this breakfast food to your daily routine.

Eating a healthy, balanced diet - including at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day - could lower your risk of an early death, according to the NHS. But, you could also boost your life expectancy by regularly eating eggs, it's been claimed.

Doing regular exercise can help to boost your lifespan. It’s the “miracle cure” we’ve all been waiting for, said the NHS.

Making some small diet or lifestyle changes could help to increase your life expectancy and avoid an early death.

One of the easiest ways to lower your chances of an early death is to add eggs to your daily routine.

Eggs are a heart friendly, calorie cutting "wonder food", nutritionists have claimed.

They contain a number of nutrients that boost muscle mass, and help you to feel fuller for longer.

They're also great for vision and mental well-being, as they're rich in vitamins B12 and A.

If you decide to add more eggs to your daily routine, you should look out for the freshest eggs with their shells still intact.

Everyone should aim to eat about six eggs every week, according to dietitian Juliette Kellow and nutritionist Dr Sarah Brewer.

"These powerhouses are packed with nutrients linked to good health and the prevention of many age related diseases," said the nutritionists in their book 'Eat Better Live Longer - Understand What Your Body Needs To Stay Healthy'.

"Their positive effects on weight loss, memory, and eye and bone health mean that eggs are a great protein food to put on your menu.

"Eggs may have a high cholesterol content, but current research shows that cholesterol in food generally has little impact on blood cholesterol levels or heart disease risk.

"Eggs contain vitamin A, which is vital for healthy vision. In addition, they contain lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidants known as carotenoids, which are concentrated in the macula and are critical for healthy eyes."

Meanwhile, you could also lower your risk of an early death by eating more avocado, added the nutritionists.

Avocado is a so-called super food that could lower cholesterol and even improve the health of your prostate.

The fruit reduces the amount of 'bad' cholesterol in the body, while also boosting the amount of 'good' cholesterol.

Everyone should consider eating half of an avocado three to four times each week, they said.

Regular exercise is a crucial aspect to improving overall health, and helping you to live longer.
