The House of Representatives on Wednesday rejected a suggestion to close schools for the next 14 days to prevent the spread of in Nigeria.
The lawmakers, instead called on the Federal Government to emulate the government of Saudi Arabia and the Vatican city to ban open worship as efforts to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. The lawmakers also said a ban should be placed on all airlines from coming into Nigeria. They also refused to consider the return of Nigerians from high risk country into the country, arguing that the United Kingdom and other countries are equipped enough to take care of those at risk of the virus.
