Trained as a Dental Surgeon Assistant, but chose the path of entrepreneurship. She started her business journey in the early ’90s as a humble gas retailer. In 2002, she opened her first small gas shop from a container at Oke-Aro, Lagos. From that small beginning, she built a household brand in Nigeria’s LPG industry. She holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Lead City University, Ibadan. With over 30 years of resilience and passion in the downstream oil & gas sector. She commissioned her first LPG bottling plant in 2007. As of August 2022, Gasland operates almost 25 plants across Nigeria. Her vision has turned Gasland into a trusted energy provider for thousands of homes. The company expanded purely through organic growth – no outside investors. Gasland today employs hundreds of Nigerians and supports countless families. Her three children – Abisoye, Sultan, and Mubarak – now serve as directors. She has transformed Gasland into a globally recognized brand with local roots. She is widely admired for her vision, resilience, and people-first leadership. Her story is living proof that small beginnings can lead to global impact. From a small container shop to an industry giant, Mrs. Omowunmi Adebayo proves that with passion, persistence, and vision, no dream is too small to grow big.
