It can be frustrating to be using a slow computer system or Laptop. When you need to get things done quickly, but your computer is so slow, or hangs in-between various task, it is really bad.

In this post, I will be explaining how to fix problems of slow computer system. Aside Hardware design error that makes the processor clock, after a while, many other problem can be fixed regarding a slow computer. Windows Operating System OS is what I will be using for my explanation.

To quickly know what is happening on your computer at any time;
- Drag your mouse to the home menu bar, usually found at the bottom of the screen. Right click, then click on Task Manager. You can find image of the Task Manager in the image below. Once it opens, you can see "Applications", "Processes", "Services", "Performance"

- StartUp Apps
One software or app you can use to disable unnecessary apps that slows down your computer at StartUp is Task Manager (Windows 8 upward) or Your Uninstaller. Navigate to StartUp Manger, then disable apps that don't need to start up when the computer starts Up after Shutdown.

- Hardware
Another culprits when your computer devices start to hang or slow are hardware, majorly Computer Fan, Heat Sink (takes out heat generated from the computer processor outside via the openings). If your computer fan cannot blow properly or the heat sink is getting weak, then you may notice your computer start to hang to become slow.

- Software
Your computer can become very slow due to virus working behind the scene on your computer. When you navigate to Task Manager, you can see Applications or Processes using up your Processor. Once Processor is being used heavily per time, there may be drop in response on your computer, but this should not be happening for a long time. Get a good Antivirus, Microsoft Security Essential, Windows Defender on Windows 8, 8.1, 10, Norton Antivirus to combat the case of Virus eating up and slowing down your computer.

- RAM
Regarding RAM (Random Access Memory), it is the temporary place where running apps, processes is on the computer. You can also see your RAM usage when you navigate to your computer Task Manager. They come in Gigabyte. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 16gb, 32gb of RAM. The higher, the ability to open several apps on your computer. If your RAM is not very big, then you may need to close existing apps that usually require high memory to function before you can open new apps. But when you have big RAM, you can open several apps at once, and they won't affect each other.
