Obinwanne Okeke famously known as Invictus Obi born on 9th November, 1987, in Ukpor village, Anambra state was an internationally celebrated Entrepreneur and the CEO of Invictus Group. The firm’s business interests ranges from Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Agriculture, Private Equity, Construction, Energy solutions etc.
Men of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested Nigerian Entrepreneur Obinwanne Okeke after a 13 long months of investigation. In the month of August, 2019, Nigerians were shocked when news of Obi's arrest by the FBI for conspiracy to commit computer fraud and wire fraud. He arrested after a company called Unatrac Holding Limited, which is the UK Export Sales office for Mantrac Group filed a scam report with the FBI in June of 2018 stating that their network had been compromised through a phishing email that fraudulently obtained sensitive login details of the company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Posing as the CFO, the intruder used the acquired information to send a wire transfer requests to Unatrac internal Finance team leading to several money transfers amounting to a tune of $11 million which is about ₦3.9 billion. Before he was caught, the 32-year-old CEO of Invictus Group was famously celebrated by Forbes as one of Africa's most outstanding 30 young entrepreneurs under the age of 30, in 2016. Invictus was arrested at the Dulles International Airport while he was about leaving the United States. He was scheduled to return to Nigeria few days after a complaint was filed against him at a court, and he was arrested and detained at the airport, just before he could board the plane to Nigeria.
