These days Scammers have device a new means of ripping off your money from your bank without calling you and asking for your bank details. All they need is your sim card to do whatever they want to do. This is why you need to padlock your sim card. Locking your sim card will restrict them from assessing your bank. How to lock your Sim card. ✓ Go to your phone settings. ✓ Navigate to Security and location. ✓ Go to Sim Card lock and select Lock Sim Card. ✓ It will require you to enter the default pin of your mobile network provider, enter it. Here are the default pins. For Airtel use 1111 For MTN, GLO and 9 Mobile, use 0000. ✓ As soon as you have entered the default pin, it will require you to enter your preferred new pin under "Change Sim pin" option. Enter any four digit pins that is hard to guess by others but easy remember by you. ✓ Confirm your pin by entering it again in the next pop up and you are done. Note: Anytime you power on your phone, you will need to enter the 4 digit PIN password to be able to assess it. That is how it will happen when someone steals it. If they want to assess your mobile banking App, they will be required to enter the four digit PIN, if not, it won't load. Do this to protect your money in the bank. Please share.
