Mauritius officials have declared that the country is officially free from deadly coronavirus that has taken the world by storm, becoming the second Africa country to declared virus-free status after infection.

In another development, New Zealand officials have also declared that there will be a move to level one, the lowest of its four-tier alert system. Under the level one tier alert system, the social distance will no longer be required and there will be no limit on the public gathering but the border remains closed. New Zealand has not recorded any COVID 19 cases for more than two weeks.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was quoted by reporters saying "a little dance" when she was told the country no longer had any active virus cases.

"While we're in a safer, stronger position there's still no easy path back to pre-COVID life, but the determination and focus we have had on our health response will now be vested in our economic rebuild," she said.

"While the job is not done, there is no denying this is a milestone. So, can I finish with a very simple Thank you, New Zealand." also,there is jubilation in Africa inland nation of Mauritius over the weekend due to the success recorded on the COVID 19 pandemic.

according to Mauritius officials,332 cases were discovered,322 people recovered from a deadly virus, and 10 fatalities were recorded. The last case was recorded on May 11 which is more than 15 days without any news case in the inland nation. Mauritania declared itself coronavirus-free after six coronavirus patients recovered and left the hospital, while one person succumbed to the virus. many experts have warned those countries declared free of the virus will certainly see new cases, there call for a need to put in place measure that will contain the virus if it resurfaces
