It is the common practice of almost all the Nigeria police officers in Nigeria to collect bribes from Nigerian citizens but we will be talking about why they should not be blamed.

It is the system of Nigeria police force that is making the officers to collect bribes from the masses, if a university graduate or a pastor or an Imam is employed as a police, he will still collect bribe.





Let's take it point by point for better understanding

Question 1: Who is teaching them how to collect bribe?

Opinion: A newly employed police officer is usually innocent and decent but somehow he will end up joining his colleagues in collecting bribe.

Question 2: What is forcing them to collect bribe?

Opinion: Some of these officers are Godly and they don't like taking bribe from citizens but somehow they end up collecting bribe.

Conclusion: Most of these officers were ordered by higher powers who are benefitting from the bribe to take bribe.

These higher powers do not show their faces to the masses, instead they stay at their offices and send the boys out to work for them.

Solution: Federal government should create an agency from the Nigeria Police to punish and jail if necessary any police officer caught in the act of taking bribe.

He should be punished with his colleagues and the superior officer who send them out should be demoted.

Severe punishment will force them to stop taking bribe or harassing the citizens.
