The management of the Benue state university, Makurdi on the 3rd of June 2020 released her own circular on resumption of work by its staff.

The circular reads, the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Senate of the Benue state university has directed that all categories of staff of the university should resume work with effect from Monday, 8th June 2020. This is in line with the review of the COVID-19 measures as announced by the Benue state government.



Staff are kindly requested to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 safety protocols as outlined by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) which includes :

1. Compulsory wearing of face mask.

2. Constant washing of hands with soap and running water or the use of alcohol based hand sanitizer and

3. Adherence to social distancing at all times while on campus.

The resumption of academic activities will however be communicated to students in due course.
