World records tend to bring out the best and weirdest in people. The Guinness Book of World Records have stopped recognizing records that rely solely on gluttony, or people pushing themselves to extremes that could negatively affect their health.

But most people would agree that the body we are born into is what we have very little control over, and today, we are going to appreciate those among us with record-breaking body parts.

This is the 10 longest body parts in the world, shall we begin?



10. Radhakant Baijpai (Longest Ear-Hair)
An Indian grocer named Radhakant Baijpai is the owner of a rather bizzare record. In 2003, Guinness World Records officials flew to Northern India to authenticate him as the owner of the longest ear-hair in the world.

While most people choose to groom their ear-hair at a certain age, Baijpai has chosen to let his own grow free, and when officials took measure of it, it had reached the length of 13.2cm.



However, much like the champ that he is, even after getting the official record, Baijpai continues to grow them out. He admits that at times his wife urges him to cut them but he says that she understands that they are a source of pride for him.

He continued taking good care of his hair and in 2009, he had Guinness World Records evaluate his record and they realized the air had grown an outstanding 25cm in length.



9. Mehmet Özyürek (Longest Nose)
Mehmet Özyürek of Turkey has the world's longest nose. His record was first authenticated in March 18, 2010, and till today, no one has stepped up to take his place.

When his nose was measured in 2010, it had reached a length of 8.8cm or 3.55 inches.



8. Maci Currin (Longest Female Legs)
Maci Currin is a young girl from Texas who by the age of 18 months was already 2ft 11 inches tall. By the time she was 9, she was 5ft 7 inches tall, and it started to appear to everyone that she was going to be quite a lot taller than her peers.

Her extreme growth continued and by the age of 16, she had reached 6ft 9 inches tall. However, the tallest woman in the world is Sandy Allen who stood at the height of 7ft 7inches.

Even though she was growing rapidly, she was a far cry from 7ft 7inches.

However, as it turned out, her specific proportions meant that even though she wasn't the tallest woman in the world, she has the longest legs in the world.

Currin's legs were a shocking 53 inches, that's 1.3 metres or 4 1/2 feet.



Currin's height has presented challenges for her, in her own words, she said; "When I started to grow in 9th grade, I was really relieved because when I was younger, I get those growing pains in my legs that were so terrible".

She expressed trouble with hitting her head on doors, hitting it in cars and trying to find gloves that fit.

Despite the challenges associated with her height, Currin hopes to makethe best of it and has her eyes set in a career in modeling.



7. Lee Redmond & Shridhar Chillal (Longest Fingernails)
Lee Redmond was once a well known feature on a talk show 'Circuit', she had started growing her nails since 1978 and by 2008, she had grown them to the length of 35 inches or 88cm.

In fact, all her nails laid end to end will almost reach 25ft.

Unfortunately, in February 2009, she was involved in a tragic accident that not only seriously injured her but completely destroyed her famous fingernails.

Now, while there was no one there to snatch her title of World's Longest Nails, at least no one with as many nails as she had, but there was Shridhar Chillal.

Chillal had been growing the nails in his left hand for over 6 decades and with no two-handed opponent to dethrone him, he became the winner of the longest nails in the world.

For Chillal though, having the world's longest nails came with a price.



The nails which if he laid end to end became 30ft long began to take a toll on his health and he began to faced increased difficulty moving his hand and suffered disfigurement in his fingers.

What's even worse is that the damage to his hand resulted in nerve damage which eventually rendered him deaf in his left ear.

Finally, he conceded and he had to have his nail cut off in 2018 with a specialized power tool and they are now on display at Ripley's 'Believe it or not' Museum in New York city.

Currently, there's no one with nails as long as Redmond's or Chillal's.



6. Xie Qiuping (Longest Hair)
She was born in China in 1960, at the age of 13, she made a decision to never cut her hair again and she stuck by her guns.

So much so that in 2004 the Guinness Book of Records declared that she had the longest documented hair in recorded history.

Her hair was documented at 18ft 5 1/2 inches.



It seems like all that hair would be a pain to carry around but when asked, Qiuping said; "it's no trouble at all, I'm used to it, you need patience and you need to hold yourself straight when you have hair like this".



5. Hans Langseth (Longest Beards)
These days, beards are a hot fashion accessory but believe it or not, the longest beards in history isn't attached to a modern day hipster.

It belonged to a man named Hans Langseth, he was born in 1846 and died in 1927 at age 81.

A farmer in Norway at the time of his death, his beards measured 17.5ft or 5.3 meters making it the longest beards in recorded history.



Today, his beards sits at the Department of Anthropology in the Smithsonian Institution.

Anyways, currently, the longest beards on a living person belongs to Sarwan Singh of Canada who first had his beard measured on an Italian show in March 2010, there, officials concluded it was 7ft 9 inches long.

Thereafter, the following year in British Colombia, Canada, his beard was re-measured and it was determined that it was 8ft 2inches long.



4. Matthew McGrory (Biggest Feet)
He was an American actor who among other films had roles in Men in Black II, House of a Thousand Corpses, Charmed and The Devil's Rejects.

But perhaps what made McGrory most memorable was his enormous presence, no really, he was massive.

McGrory stood at 7ft 6inches and had the world's biggest feet. He wears a men shoe size 29.5, he was even bigger than Andre the Giant.



Sadly though, McGrory died in 2005 at the age of 32. A friendly giant, he was loved by those who worked with him in his acting career and both 'The Devil's Rejects' and 2017's 'The Evil Within' was dedicated to him.

The current holder of the world's largest foot record at least for men is Venezuela's Jason Orlando Rodriguez Hernendez who as of 16 has a foot measurement of 1.31 feet long.



3. Robert Pershing Wadlow (Biggest Hands)
The largest hands in the world belonged to Robert Wadlow who was also the world's tallest man until his death at the age of 22 in 1940.

He was an Illinois giant whose gigantic hands measured 12.75 inches from the wrist to the middle fingers.



2. Chanel Tapper (Longest Tongue)
A Californian YouTuber named Chanel Tapper has a tongue roughly the size of an iPhon. Her nearly 4 inches tongue was declared the world's longest by 2013.



The world's longest tongue on a male belongs to Nick Storbell and it's a respectable 3.9 inches.



1. Jonah Adam Falcon
He may not be the most successful on today's list, but he does have another claim to fame that has garnered him quite a lot of attention.

Falcon is the host of the show 'Talking Yankees, an hour-long, cable TV call-in show that is dedicated to the happenings in the New York Yankees Football club.

But he rose to national attention in 1999 when it was determined that he had a 13.5 inches manhood.

The Brooklyn native has been the subject of several TV specials including Showtime's 'Unhung Hero'. He also had smaller roles in 'Melrose Place', 'The Sopranos', 'Law & Order' and the 2001 drama 'A Beautiful Mind'.

Despite his multiple appearances in media, things haven't always been easy for Falcon who lives on and off with his mother in New York.

Falcon has been propositioned many times for unique projects related to his oversized member, including a photographer who paid him $500 to pose in his underwear.

Falcon has been adamant about not working in the adult industry because he wants to be taken seriously as an actor, and fears that such a move would jeopardize his acting career.
