One officer of Nigerian Army troops has paid the supreme price during an encounter with some marauding Boko Haram terrorists that were hibernating at Daban Magaji on June 2, 2020.
Image credit: Google Also, one soldier was wounded in the encounter. Although it was reported that the wounded soldier was already receiving treatment in a military medical facility. The incident occurred during a robust clearance operation to Doron Naira and Daban Magaji by the combined troops of 19 Brigade and 401 Special Forces Brigade. Image credit: Google It was gathered that the valiant troops successfully neutralized 9 Boko Haram fighters in the encounter with their unleashed superior fire powers. It was also reported that the troops destroyed one Boko Haram gun truck and captured one anti-aircraft gun, 2 AK 47 rifles and a cache of anti-aircraft ammunition from the terrorists during the encounter. Image credit: Google Moreso, at Doran Naira, the troops also recovered one 120mm mortar base plate, one religious book, metal links for anti-aircraft ammunition and a roll of copper wire that was hurriedly abandoned by Boko Haram criminals before the arrival of the gallant troops. May the souls of the faithful departed lost in defending our country continue to rest in peace.
