Today, more than seventy percent of mobile phone users are using smart phones and its basic features are similar to that of a computer. It also connect people to the rest of the world.

People secure their phones by using password, pin, pattern or fingerprint to prevent other people from accessing their phones.

It is sometimes important to lock these smartphones because of some sensitive contents it may contains.

However, most people forget their password, pin or pattern to unlock their phones due to stress and other personal reasons.

In most cases the only available option to unlock the device is to give it to a phone Engineer to unlock or format it.

I will be explaining how you can unlock your smartphone yourself.

1 Switch off your phone.

2 Long press power button and down button or long press up button and power button.

3 Your phone will display some options and you are required to use up and down button to navigate up and down.

4 From the available options, your phone will display either erase data, phone rest or format phone, use power button to select anyone displayed.

Note: Do not switch off your phone during this process.
