The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made it mandatory that ordinary level results and Advanced level results (For Direct Entry) of all the candidates considered for admission by any institutions must be verified by JAMB before such candidates can be proffered admission.

This means that when a candidate is considered for admission by any institution, JAMB will certify if the candidate actually has the ordinary level requirements for that course of study. Candidates will not be considered for admission not only by what they scored in JAMB exam but if they met other requirements.

Hence, the ordinary level and advanced level results candidates provided during their registration for UTME and direct entry respectively will be verified before they will be considered for admission.

This is to certified that only candidates with the right ordinary level results and ordinary level subject combination for their intended course of study will be proffered admission. Therefore, if a candidate do not have credit passes in the required ordinary level subjects for the candidate's desired course of study, such candidate might be denied admission to study the course.

Provided your school of choice offered you admission, without JAMB verification such admission will be nullified and you will surely have problem with the board in the future.

Case in point, you will be disqualified to go for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) because only candidates whose admissions were approved by JAMB will be qualified to register for NYSC.

Be notified that the newly introduce Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), will make it very easy to identify candidates whose admissions are not legal or whose admissions were not officially approved by JAMB.

It is advisable to all candidates that they upload their ordinary level results on the JAMB portal. This will enable their schools of choice to consider them for admission and assure them a better chance of being admitted to study their intended course if they meet the required requirements
