Gentle Jack, the macho man of Nollywood is a Nigerian actor, producer, television personality, bodybuilder and a philanthropist. He was born on 20th November 1970 in Abonnema in kalabari kingdom of River State in South southern part of Nigeria. He is currently 47 years old.


He is popularly known worldwide as vuga and hails from Abonnema in kalabari kingdom of River State, Nigeria. Gentle Jack had his nursery education in Lagos State, Nigeria and his primary and secondary education in por harcourt, River State, Nigeria where he obtained both first school leaving certificate and west African senior school certificate.



After completing his secondary education, he got admission in ogun State polytechnic in Abonnema and later quit his studies due to personal reasons.



In 1997, Gentle Jack joined the Nigerian movie industry through the help of his brother Gbasemi Tariah, and acted on his first movie titled "Blood money" alongside with Pete Edochie.

In 1998, Gentle Jack rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood Blockbuster movie "Vuga" alongside with Genevieve Nnaji. He has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies and has won several movie awards.


Gentle Jack is currently married with kids and lives in port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria with his family. He is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of$8000,000.
