Some of the guardians in Lagos State have kicked against re-opening of schools in the view of continuous spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The guardians who addressed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in independent meetings concurred that it was significant for the FG and state governments to keep on shielding youngsters from the pandemic.
NAN uncovered that the FG on Wednesday said that it was thinking about re-opening of schools dependent on morning and evening shifts strategy. The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, disclosed in Abuja during a briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
A civil servant, Mrs Ayobami Ojo, who lives in Ikotun, encouraged the FG to permit children to stay at home until containment of the pandemic.
'Let's just forget about morning and night classes. let the kids keep on remaining safe at home as the infection keeps increasing everyday.
"Re-opening of schools should be considered when affirmed cases drop quite well," Ojo said.
