Woman kept the remains of her 97 year old grandmother in the freezer for 15 years, just to continue to receive her grandmother's social security.


A Pennsylvania woman was arrested Wednesday after she kept her dead grandmother in a freezer for 15 years while still receiving her social security.

Glenora reckord delaway died in March 2004 at admore, about 10 miles northwest of Philadelphia, at the age of 97, Fox News reported May 29.

Cynthia Carolyn black, a 61 year old granddaughter of delahai, allegedly told police she had kept her grandmother's body because her family needed her social security benefits.

Black said she moved the freezer 100 miles west of ademoire in 2007, police said. Police found the body last year.

Blake, who reportedly defrauded more than $200000 in social security benefits, was arrested Wednesday and detained at the York County Justice Center. Black will face charges of abusing his body, stealing illegally and receiving stolen money. Her first trial was held on June 10.
