It has been more than two months since schools across the Country were closed due to the corona virus pandemic. The Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education ordered the closure of schools towards the end of March in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The decision by the Ministry of Education is indeed a good one, judging from the fact that most schools across the World were closed as well to contain the spread of the pandemic.

To this backdrop, a lot of students are saying: "Allow final year and SSCE students to take their exams," probably so they could finish it and focus on other things.

I personally think if the Federal Government decides to do this, it'll yield good result. Since schools are closed, allow final year students to take their exams and by doing this, there will be adequate spacing to maintain physical distancing.

And for the SSCE students, the Federal Government can decide to use all schools, both private and public schools for the conduct of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SCCE) so that there would be adequate spacing of students, because with the way things are going, there might be no conduct of SSCE this year if we keeping thinking and hoping corona virus will end soon.

In my own candid opinion, I won't clamor for opening of schools this period, but I'll only suggest that final year students and SSCE students should be allowed to take their exams.
