A former Director-General of the Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Sir T.C. Okere allegedly stabbed his wife of 50 years to death this morning. The tragic event which took place at Imerenwe community in Ngor-Okpala local government area of Imo State has left many in shock. Many are wondering what could drive a man of such calibre to stab his wife whom he had been married to for half a decade. The murdered wife is said to have retired from Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo. The true circumstances surrounding the incident is still unknown as of the time of this report. The Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando, confirmed that the crime suspect is on the run. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the incident. ‘It is true that the former Director-General of the state-owned broadcasting corporation TC Okere allegedly stabbed the wife to death this morning and the command will soon commence an investigation into the matter
