Odion Ighalo
Talented striker Odion Ighalo is ready to return to Shanghai Shenhua and break new record after his loan deal with Man United expires on May 31.

The Nigerian international who sealed a last-gasp loan tagged: “a dream come true” move to Manchester United from Shanghai Shenhua back in late January, is planning to return to the Chinese Super League (CSL) after his loan deal expires on May 31.

Meanwhile, the Premier League and almost all sporting events were on hold over three months later, as the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on the world, which made Ighalo’s dream journey a premature one.

After series of negotiations some British media outlets reported that United failed to agree a loan extension with Shenhua

Ighalo, 30, played in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has scored 16 goals in 35 games for his country. has always been a die-hard United fan

In the Premier league, the determined striker scored 33 goals in 82 games for Watford before moving to Changchun Yatai in 2017.

He also stands the chance to be paid £400,000 a week, and be the highest paid Nigerian player if he returns to Shanghai Shenhua.
