Times Our Parent Lied to Us
Welcome to Africa where our parents hold tenaciously to some believe despite any scientific evidence, even if it doesn't seems logical enough, and they pass these on to their children.
Let's see 5 times our parent lied to us.

1. if you stay close to the TV you will have bad eye sight.
So many of us while growing up must have witnessed this, parent might once upon a time screamed at thier children that they will have bad eyesight if they sit close to the TV

But funny enough myopia and hypermetropia are genetically inherited from ure parents

2.If you swallow orange seed it will grow in your stomach
Many kid experience this while growing up but it was just to scare children not to cultivate the habit of swallowing seeds

3.If you bring your phone while receiving calls near a gas cooker you are going to explode.
This I think is the biggest scrap of the century, many people still hold this claim even till today, logically reasoning is not possible

( remember the burning fire on the gas cannot explode the cylinder itself ) how much less phone calls that have no ability to generate electric charges suddenly explode cylinder

Scientifically, it's has no evidence till date. There is no verified evidence of any claims of gas cylinder exploding as a result of phone calls

All claims are from social media trash.

4. Some food combination can kill within seconds e.g Mango and Garri, Coke and Garri.
If you still hold to this claim today you probably needed to check your self

5. If you pick money from the floor you either turn into tortoise or goat.
Though for the sake of good moral they told us these but it ended up been a lie

6. So we don't beg in school
"they told us if we collect puff-puff or sweets in school we will be initiated into witch craft.

7.Dont allow someone to cross over you;
If not you will not grow tall unless they uncross you back.

8.Dont look at mirror at night because you will see a spirit being.
9. Don't use your laptop or phone while charging it or else you will explode
If it was true we should have all exploded by now because we all know that it's what we do frequently.
