You are probably excited to be going for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), then during the process of registration, you realized there is issue with your date of birth. This error may be from the school you graduated from, from Jamb or from NYSC itself. Most of the time, NYSC does not rely on date of birth data coming from your school, but the date of birth coming from JAMB or from Olevel (WAEC).

For you to be eligible to go for NYSC, you must not be more than 30 years, else, you won’t be able to go for the service but allowed to print NYSC Exemption letter (those above 30 years old).

How to solve NYSC Age problem
There are two methods to solve NYSC age issue.

1. Correction via your WAEC date of Birth:
WAEC prints date of birth on its certificate, so, if you wrote WAEC and you are sure of the date of birth of your WAEC will make you eligible to go for NYSC, then you can use this option. You will have to complete your NYSC registration first, https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc4/home on the NYSC website. After completion, logout then login to see the date of birth correction menu. You will need to buy WAEC verification PIN to access this service. It can be bought online or by going to any Bank to purchase it. After buying, go back to the NYSC portal, fill the details, then apply for date of birth correction using WAEC option.

2. Correction by visiting NYSC office around

How much is NYSC Salary/Allowance NOW
The Federal Government have started paying NYSC members the monthly salary of N33,000 Naira, the payment started since December 2019. The NYSC allowance used to be N19,800 Naira before now.
