US President Donald Trump has promised that the States will reopen whether there is covid-19 vaccine or not.

"I don't want people to think this is dependent on a vaccine",he said."Vaccine or no vaccine we are back. And we are starting the process".

He said this as he announced an objective to deliver a coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year.

Speaking at a White House News Conference yesterday,Mr Trump said the project 'operation warp speed' would begin with studies on fourteen promising vaccine candidate for accelerated research and approval.

Mr Trump named an Army General and a former healthcare executive to lead the project.

A partnership between the government and a private sector to find out and distribute the vaccine.

Many experts says a vaccine is the only thing that will give Americans confidence in fully reopening the economy in the absence of widespread testing.

Earlier this week Dr Fuci, who serves on the coronavirus taskforce and appeared wearing a mask at the Rose Garden Conference, testified to the Senate that it would be a "bridge too far" to reopen schools in autumn.
