Dike who is said to be related to the deceased, raped chikamso at Messiah close, in obio/akpor local government area of rivers State, killed her, and then removed her tongue, breast, vigina and eyes. He was on his way to dispose of her body when he was apprehended by the vigilante men of the area.


Dike was handed over to the police but escaped with the help of an officer identified as Sgt jhonbosco okoroeze who has since been dismissed from service.

Dike fled to plateau state, but thankfully, he was caught, and he has been brought back to rivers State and facing trial.


Yesterday may 13, justice adolphus enebeli of the rivers State high court delivered judgement on his case. He sentenced dike and his accomplice ugochuku onwuamiro to death by hanging for the raping and gruesome murder of the eight years old girl.

In a judgement that lasted for three hours justice adolphus enebeli described the action of dike and ugochuku as a satanic act and to be put to death by hanging.

The presiding judge also found the dismissed police officer of guilty of criminal negligence having acted in a manner that allowed dike to escape the police custody 24 hours after he was arrested.

The court reduced his sentenced to one year having considered that he has been in custody since August 2017, been dismissed from the police and he is also a family man
