Canadian midfielder Emilio Estevez has become the first Canadian Premier League player to be sold to a European top-flight side, moving from York9 FC to ADO Den Haag.
Estevez, 21, recorded a goal and an assist during 21 matches with the first-year club in a first-year league last season.
A Taiwan international with three caps, Estevez joins an Eredivisie side which has avoided relegation by virtue of the canceled season.
