"I think You Should Go And Study Well" - Man Tells Imam for Saying We All Inherit Our Religion

Imam Mohammad Tawhidi popularly known as Imam of Peace took to his twitter page to say that whatever religion we are involved in was passed on to us as an inheritance.

In his words the Imam said "If they ask you why you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sunni, Shia, Yazidi, Bahai, Ibadhi, Hindu, Sikh. Tell them it’s because of inheritance. This is how my family were, and I am like them. Do not turn into a philosopher.

This tweet has generated a lot of reactions from both Christians, Muslims and some other religions.

In reacting to the tweet of Imam of peace, a Nogerian Identified as Adewole Adeyemi said "Religion is not about inheritance, most especially when you talk about Christianity. Don't get confused. Salvation is what guarantees your eternity. When you are not truly saved, you only bear the name as Christian. We have many today who only bear the name but are not real followers" said Adewole Adeyemi.

While reacting to the tweet of Imam Tawhidi, David Ware seems to have a contrary opinion to that of the Imam. David said 'No, sir, that is the wrong answer. Nobody is saved by virtue of the family they were born into. It's only the atoning blood of Jesus Christ on the cross and his resurrection and confessing our sins, repenting and receiving eternal life through Him! Religion doesn't save, Jesus does!" says David Ware.

Joseph Yakubu also disagreed with the tweet of the Imam by saying the Imam was wrong, he said 'Your Wrong Sir, you must have a reason for practicing your religion not inheritance. Please sir I think you should go and study well'.
